Different Variations of NGOs as Explained by Relief India Trust

The ReliefIndia Trust takes great pride not only in raising awareness among the different derived sectors of the society, but  also share useful information for the influential civil society to play their role in the social welfare and upbringing of the deprived people. The NGOs play a neutral and an unbiased role, independent from the government with no greed of monetary benefits. Rather, all the profits that an NGO generates through their different services and products is recycled again for the benefit and welfare of the people of the society. The variations of different NGOs:
There are a lot of different international NGOs with variable roles to play on the international platform for the help and rescue of the deprived people in different regions of the world. Their role is impeccable and the monitoring of these NGOs under the influence of the United Nations makes them a lot more reliable, credible and authentic. The following is a list of different variations of the international NGOs:
·         BINGO –BINGO stands for Big International Non-Government Organization. It is also sometimes referred as the business-friendly International NGOs.  It works solely for the people on humanitarian grounds with no biasness. Red Cross is a good example of a BINGO organization which most of us are familiar with.
·         ENGO – ENGO stands for Environmental Non-Government Organization. It works for the benefit of wildlife and the natural environment worldwide. The World Wildlife Fund Organization is a prime example of such a variation of an NGO.
·         GONGO – GONGO stands for Government Non-Government Organization. It is an NGO which is created by a government, but works independently for different types of social welfare projects for the benefit of the society.
·         INGO – INGO stands for International Non-Government Organization. Oxfam based in the United Kingdom is a prime example of an INGO.
·         RINGO
RINGO stands for Religious International Non-Government Organizations which works for the protection and the sentiments of people related with different religions and faiths.

·         QUANGO – QUANGO stands for Quasi-Autonomous Non-Government Organization. It may have some government members too. ISO is an example of a QUANGO type of NGO.
